Mr. Henry Zumwalt, 88, of Blevins

Henry Arthur Zumwalt, Age 88, of Blevins, Arkansas, passed away April 23, 2025, in Blevins, Arkansas.
Henry was born December 2, 1936, to Carl and Hilda Botsford Zumwalt in the Wallaceburg Township in Hempstead County. He is a graduate of Blevins High School.
His notable lifetime achievements are an ordained Baptist minister, lifetime member of the Whitfield Masonic Lodge #250, 32nd degree Mason and Shriner of El Karubah Temple, Charter member of Elysian Fields as Co-coach of East Texas youth football, 5 Star Lions Club member in Texas, as well as Rookie of the Year with Hope Lions Club and President of the Hope Lions Club in 1985. Henry was the Cubmaster of the Boy Scouts Pack 5. He proudly served in the US Air Force as a cryptographer and translator of the Chinese language.
Henry worked for Arkla Gas Village Furniture, weaving chair seats and backs, with one of the chairs being presented to President John F. Kennedy, he later acquired his father’s dairy farm which he ran for 10 years. He served as postmaster in Garland City, Arkansas, later transferring to Blevins where he retired after 9 years of service.
Henry is preceded in death by his father and mother, Carl and Hilda Botsford Zumwalt, one daughter, two brothers, and four sisters.
Henry is survived by his wife of 65 years, Judith Ann, his two sons, John and James Zumwalt, three daughters, Amelia Nelson, Linda Hayden and Victoria Andrews along with eight grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Brazzel/Oakcrest chapel in Hope, Arkansas.
Funeral service will be held Sunday, April 27th, at 2:00pm at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home with burial to follow at Macedonia Cemetery in Blevins, Arkansas
