The Hope City Board held a special called meeting at noon on Monday (4-28). There was a resolution for the board to apply for the Transportation Alternatives Program. There would be an 80/20 match with the city responsible for the 20% of the cost. It was estimated the project would cost about $557,000. The money would be used to develop or improve sidewalks in the downtown area. The board voted to approve the resolution authorizing the city to apply for the program. This was the only item on the agenda and the meeting adjourned.
