Benny H. Phillips

Benny H. Phillips, 83, passed away on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, in Prescott, AR. Born on January 15, 1942, in Blevins, AR, to Jess and Bess Phillips, Benny lived a full life.
He retired from PNW Railroad where he worked as a train engineer, a career he cherished. Benny was a man of the Methodist faith and had a passion for hunting with his dogs. He was a devoted St. Louis Cardinals fan; he also loved spending time with his grandchildren and watching sports. Benny never met a stranger and was known for his warm and welcoming nature.
Benny is preceded by his parents and his brother, Chester Phillips.
He is survived by, his wife of 62 years, Polly Phillips, son James Phillips (Laurie) of Cave Springs, AR, daughter Kim Cox (Paul) of Prescott, five grandchildren; Kris Hopson (Brittney), Katy Wesson (Josh), Trent Cox (Taylor), Wade Hopson (Trisha), Colton Phillips (Samantha), and 9 great grandchildren. Benny’s legacy of love and kindness will be cherished by all who knew him.
Visitation will be Sunday, May 4, 2025, 1pm, at the Brazzel Cornish chapel in Prescott.
Funeral service will be Sunday, May 4, 2025, 2pm, at the Brazzel Cornish chapel in Prescott, with the burial to follow at Pleasant Hill cemetery.
Funeral services are under the direction of Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott.
