Hope Kiwanis Club Hears Program on Farmers Market and Hope Schools Summer Meals Program

The Hope Kiwanis Club heard a program on the Hope Farmers Market on Tuesday (5-13).  Deanna Gilbert is the market manager.  She noted the Farmers Market is being held each Tuesday from 7am until 11am; however, she urged everyone to get there early as most vendors are sold out by 11am.  The market is held at the HUB downtown at Elm & 2nd.

Gilbert is the head of the Hope Schools’ cafeteria program.  She has worked for the cafeteria program for 39 years.  Gilbert told the club about the summer meals program for youth in Hope.

Gilbert was invited to bring the program to Kiwanis by Kiwanian Kenneth Muldrew.  He noted he had hired her for the Hope Public Schools 39 years ago.
