Cheryl Whatley, 61, of Hope, Ar. passed away May 11, 2025, in Hope.

Cheryl was born on August 30, 1963, in Pike County Arkansas to LC and Claris Stone Nolen. She worked 20+ years for Meyers Bakery in Hope and was a homemaker. She loved her neighbors, caring for each one, checking on them daily. She enjoyed working in her yard and especially enjoyed the fruits of her labor in the flowers that she grew. Attending music concerts was one of her great pleasures.

Cheryl is preceded in death by her father and mother, LC and Claris Stone Nolen, her husband, James Whatley, and one brother, Steven Nolen.

Cheryl is survived by her daughter, Gina Whatley Thompson (Scotty), her two sisters, Rene (Bobby) Dixon, and Teresa Wiggins, and a host of family and many friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 15th from 6-8 pm at Brazzel-Oakcrest Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held on Friday, May 16th at Anderson Cemetery in Spring Hill at 2 pm with Bro. Leon McKinnon officiating.
