Hope Tourism Commission

The Hope Tourism Commission met in the city hall boardroom last Tuesday (5-13). The items on the agenda included the April minutes, revenue and expenses, and permits and payments. These were approved. One item that was on the agenda was removed as the business paid up prior to the meeting.
The event expenses for the 150th and Train Day were reviewed. The largest expense was $6,929.07 to Hog Wild Events for the train, jump houses, obstacle and gyroscope.
For overall expenses for April the supplying of the premium red infield by Southern Rock, LLC cost the Commission $13, 719.75. Overall revenue for the month was $65, 575.71
Other topics discussed were the Kopecky Memorial and an RV Rally. For the Memorial there are two possible designs that will be presented as options to the veterans. The item was tabled. For the RV Rally there will be 30-50 RVs. The event is a year away and the group has already reserved a meeting room.
No action was taken during the meeting other than the approval of minutes, revenue and expenses etc.
