Vickie Bobo Hines (Updated)

It is with deep sorrow and love that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved Vickie Bobo Hines, who departed this life on May 25, 2025, at the age of 64.

Vickie was a woman of deep faith, fierce love, and boundless generosity. Whether she was cooking a homemade meal for her family, sharing a verse from her beloved Bible, or offering a helping hand to someone in need, Vickie gave from her heart without hesitation.

A devoted follower of Christ, Vickie found great joy in reading Scripture and sharing God’s love with others. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life, guiding her every step and shaping the way she loved and served her family and community. She had the joy of visiting Israel, a trip that brought her closer to the roots of her faith and remained one of her most cherished experiences.

Vickie had a tender heart for all living creatures. She shared her life with a joyful, mischievous monkey named Sadie, along with a collection of furry companions and many turtles who were lucky enough to cross her path.

She was an avid reader and a passionate traveler, always eager to learn, explore, and connect with the world around her. Her heart, however, was always with her family. She loved her family, deeply, and nothing brought her more joy than seeing them gathered around her table, sharing stories and laughter.

Her life was a testament to love and faith. Though her passing leaves an empty place in our hearts, her legacy lives on in the lives she touched and the memories we will carry with us forever.

Vickie is preceded in death by her dear father and mother, Eugene and Doris Bobo and her beloved son, David McCorkle.

Vickie is survived by her husband Billy Hines, daughter Melanie (Jamie) Ellwanger, daughter Hannah Hines, grandson Elijah Ellwanger, granddaughter Anna Kate McCorkle, brother Curtis (Mia) Bobo, sister Tessie (Keith) Fry, stepsons Kiley (Debbie) Hines and Cameron Hines, stepdaughter Lesley Hines, step grandchildren Kayla Hines, Hayden Hines, Garrett Hines, Levi Hines, step great grandchild Ryleigh King, special friends Buni Ferguson and Niki Taylor plus countless family members and friends who will continue to honor her memory by living their lives with the same love, generosity, and faith that she exemplified.

Visitation will be held on May 31, 2025, at 9 a.m. at Bethany Baptist Church. Funeral services will immediately follow at 10 a.m. with Bro. Curtis Bobo officiating. Interment will be in Holly Springs Cemetery in Spring Hill, Arkansas with Bro. Kenneth Bobo officiating.

Vickie loved deeply, gave generously, and lived faithfully. She will be missed beyond words.
