Anthony Charles “Tony” Patterson (Updated)

Anthony Charles “Tony” Patterson, 47, of Hope, Arkansas, passed from this life into the arms of his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, May 28, 2025. A devoted husband, father, brother, and friend, Tony’s life was a vibrant reflection of love, generosity, and joyful living.
Born on July 19, 1977, Tony brought light and laughter wherever he went. Known for his infectious smile, boundless energy, and deep compassion, Tony never met a stranger. He was the person you could count on—always willing to lend a helping hand, fix whatever was broken, or simply show up when it mattered most. He would truly give you the shirt off his back without a second thought.
Tony is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Samantha Patterson, and their two beloved children, Tyler and Grace, who were the center of his world. He also leaves behind his sister, Joanne Patterson; sister-in-laws Caitlin Williams (Jeremy), Brittney Banks, and Jessica Halsell; nephews Perry Lapotko, Kris Burns (Christy), and Bobby Merck; as well as a host of other nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends—too numerous to name but each deeply treasured.
Tony was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Frances Patterson; his brothers, Buddy Patterson and Mike Patterson; his sister, Sharon Patterson; and his in- laws, Rebecca Stuart and Steve Allen. He missed them dearly and spoke of them often with love and gratitude for the impact they had on his life.
Tony had a passion for life that was contagious. He especially loved spending time on the lake, where he had perfected the art of surfing and was always eager to share the fun with others. Whether it was early mornings on the water or late nights around the fire, lake life was where he felt most at peace. He was also an avid football fan, proudly cheering for the Arkansas Razorbacks and the New Orleans Saints. Game days were a sacred tradition, often spent surrounded by friends, food, and plenty of good-natured rivalry.
More than anything, Tony loved his people. He valued time with his friends and never missed an opportunity to create memories, share laughter, and make everyone feel welcome and loved. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
A visitation will be held on Monday, June 2, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Brazzel-Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope, Arkansas.
A celebration of Tony’s life will take place on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., also at Brazzel-Oakcrest Funeral Home, with Pastor Jake Vandenburg officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Hope.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to the Patterson Family Love Fund at First National Bank Tom Bean, P.O. Box 688, Hope, AR 71802.
Though our hearts ache with his absence, we rejoice in the knowledge that Tony is now in eternal peace. His legacy of love, laughter, faith, and friendship will continue to shine brightly in the lives of all who were blessed to know him.
