Mrs. Dwanda Faye May Trotter

Mrs. Dwanda Faye May Trotter, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, left us to be with her Heavenly Father on May 16, 2025, at UAMS in Little Rock, Arkansas.

She was born on October 24, 1967, to the late Mattie L. White Benson and Leonard Donell May, Sr. in Nashville, Arkansas. She attended Nashville High School. She later married Londell Trotter. She was a member of Free Christian Zion Church of Christ in Nashville, Arkansas. She also attended Mauney Street Church of Christ in Murfreesboro, Arkansas. She worked at Benson Nursing Home, Nashville Nursing Home, Mine Creek Nursing Home as a CNA for many years. She worked at Tyson Foods for many years.

Dwanda was a loving and caring person. She always helped anyone she could. She loved and was devoted to her kids, grandchildren and family. She enjoyed eating her soul food and seafood.

She enjoyed watching her criminal TV shows, Let’s Make A Deal, her puzzle books, fishing, makeup and fashion. She loved cooking. She was preceded in death by her loving father, Leonard D. May, Sr., loving mother, Mattie L. Benson White, brother, Leonard D. May, Jr., sister Erika May, niece and great nephew Mea Heard and Baby Bleu Heard Thomas.

She leaves to cherish her memories her husband Londell Trotter; two sons, Brian Trotter (Jasma Willis) and Londell D. Trotter of Nashville, Arkansas; three brothers, Keith D. Heard, Sr., Morris W. Heard of Nashville, AR and Patrick May of Murfreesboro, Arkansas; two sisters, Coteal S. Dabbs Gonsoulin (Jean) of Midland, TX and Takoagha May of San Antonio, TX; stepmother, Patsy Booker of Texarkana, Arkansas; five uncles Willie Benson, Jr., Micheal Benson of Nashville, Arkansas, Charles Sewells of Lancaster, TX, Anthony Lee May of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Ricky May of Murfreesboro, Arkansas; eight aunts, Brenda Stuart, Gloria Yates, Ruth Ann Austin, Majornell May Burton, Betty Thrower, Martha Rhymes, Tangie Benson and Vickie Benson Swift. She has four grandchildren Ma’Layah Trotter, Sa’Kiaya Trotter, Ja’Bryant Trotter and De’Money Trotter; seven special nephews, Ja’Quavian Dabbs (Deonna), Orlando White, Tyberious Gonsoulin, Ja’Bari Mason, Darren May, Keith D. Heard, Jr. (Angela) and James May; two special nieces, Raven Heard and Jasmine May; three special great-nieces, Brooklyn Dabbs, Arahya Green and Niomi Heard; great nephew, Khalil Heard; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A very special cousin, Ambe Benson; special friends, Ellen Morrison and Patricia Haney of Nashville, Arkansas.
