Alice Laura Conley, aged 84, of Guernsey

Alice Laura Conley, aged 84, of Guernsey, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on August 31, 1940, in Guernsey, Alice was the daughter of Myrtle and Frank O’Rorke. She grew up in a close-knit family where she developed a passion for gardening and a love for cooking.

Alice was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She married her husband, Jimmie Ray Conley, in 1958, and together they raised three wonderful children: Kathy, William Ray “Buford”, and Allison.

Alice worked most of her life in the food industry. She was once the proud owner of her own business Mama’s Kountry Kitchen, also many years with Tastee Freez, Sonic, and others, she retired as dietary mananger at Heather Manor Nursing.

Alice was a member of Guernsey Baptist Church. Enjoyed traveling and frequently visiting the casino industry for her enjoyment.

Alice is survived by her two daughters Kathy Conley Ingersoll (Frankie) and Allison Conley Wall-Compton (Jon).

4 grandchildren, Krystal Ingersoll, Darrell Dean Sr. (Milly) Justin Dean (Ashley) Cody Wall (Casey) 16 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter , who will forever cherish the memories of their beloved “Mammaw.” She is also survived by sister, Mildred Ward and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jimmie Ray Conley, her son William Ray (Buford) Conley, an infant son, Granddaughter Mandy Ingersoll Davis, 3 brothers and 5 sisters.

Alice’s spirit and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May she rest in peace.
