Connie Renae Murry

Connie Renae Murry, aged 63, of Emmet, Arkansas, passed away on May 31, 2025, in Texarkana, Texas, at Hospice of Texarkana. Originally from Chelsea, Oklahoma, Connie became a cherished resident of Emmet, Arkansas, in August 2014. Connie was born June 4, 1961, to Jessie Daryl McClure and Sharon Hazelwood.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her mother- and father-in-law, and two sons, Jon and Brian.

Connie is survived by her devoted husband, James “Gil” Murry of Emmet; her son Troy of Oklahoma; her brother Steve of Oklahoma; and her loving sisters Lynda, Missy, Chrys, and Valerie of Texas. She also leaves behind six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Connie dedicated the last several years of her life to Rainbow of Challenges Head Start in Prescott, Arkansas, where she found joy in guiding, instructing, and loving all her “little uns.” She was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, and a steady rock for all those who needed her. Connie was deeply loved and will be GREATLY missed.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages you to spend your money, time, and energy on your children, spouse, family, and friends.

Visitation will be held at Brazzel-Oakcrest chapel on Friday, June 6, 2025, from 6:00–8:00 PM.

Funeral services will take place at Brazzel-Oakcrest chapel on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at 2:00 PM.
