Planning for improvements following one cent sales tax

HOPE – Assistant City Manager Daniel Shelman recently spoke to the Hope Civitan Club, sharing information about plans developed since the passage of the one cent sales tax increase to improve Hope’s fire department and parks and recreation facilities.  Potential locations for the new fire station and recreation facilities — including a splash pad, tennis courts, pickleball courts, and recreation center — were discussed with the group of Civitans.

Shelman said he appreciates and enjoys the opportunity to present the plans to local groups.  The Hope Civitan Club meets at 6 pm at Dos Loco Gringos on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month.  Interested persons are invited to attend a meeting.
