Prescott Rotary Hears Program from James Barham

James Barham recently spoke at the Prescott Rotary Club. James is a 2019 Prescott High School graduate and a 2024 Graduate of Arkansas Tech University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Math and Associate of Science in Nuclear Technology. He is currently employed with Entergy, Arkansas Nuclear One in Russellville as a non-certified Auxiliary operator.
He spoke to the club about his diagnosis of dyslexia that was diagnosed after graduating from high school. He spent the summer after graduation learning tools to help him master and succeed in college. James told the club that to be successful he had to put in extra hours studying. When asked his advice to anyone with dyslexia he replied, “never give up”.
The club was informed that President Boe Young was voted President of the Year for small Southwest Arkansas District 6170 clubs.
The club is still helping the elderly and disabled with mowing their yards. Get in contact with any Rotary member for information.
July 18th will be the community dance with Mark Keith and his band from 6 – 9 PM.
