Jonathan Thomas Huff-Updated

Jonathan Thomas Huff, 90, of Hope, AR, passed away July 19, 2025. He was born to Melvin and Eva Ola Huff on September 24,1934 in Mabelvale, Arkansas.
He was the owner and operator of Huff Construction Company for 52 years. It was often said he could thread a needle with a backhoe due to his expertise of the machine. He operated his successful business with great knowledge, hard work, and pride. He was dedicated to his family and worked hard to provide every need. He loved his farm, sports, and traveling in his RV. He also loved his coffee shop time and never met a stranger. He was a longtime member of First Baptist Church, Hope AR.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Melvin, and Eva Huff: two sisters, Mattie Dove Huff (Lambirth) and Norma Louise Huff (Emory): five brothers, James Andrew Huff, Melvin Grogan Huff, Walter Hugh Goin II, Walter Daniel Huff, and William David Huff.
He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Carmelita Huff: children Kim Huff McMullan, Larry Jeff Huff (Janet). Kelly Huff Schmitt (Carroll): grandchildren, Katy Bostic (Cory), Cody McMullan, Heidi Marshall (Josh), Emily Bruton Paolantoni (Julien). Logan Huff, Hayley O’Neal (Nathan), Hayden Schmitt (Liz): 10 great grandchildren: many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be from 9:00 a. m. to 10:00 a. m. Tuesday July 22, 2025, at BRAZZEL/Oakcrest 1001 South Main St. Hope, Arkansas 71801
Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday July 22, 2025, at Memory Gardens Cemetery with Bro. Daniel Bramlett officiating. Burial will follow.
Arrangements are under the direction of Brazzel/Oakcrest The Funeral Home of Hope.
