William Eugene “Gene” Jaggars

William Eugene “Gene” Jaggars, 64, of Hope passed away Friday, August 8, 2025, in Hope.
He was born February 19, 1961, in Pine Bluff, AR to the late Billy Joe and Mary Fay Reed Jaggars.
Gene was an employee of Bobo and Bain Construction for 7 years and was a dedicated and hardworking man. He loved to hunt, fish, and spend time with his family. There are many things about Gene that made him a wonderful father, grandfather, and husband. He never met a stranger, and he always had a smile on his face. Gene was a giving man and advice giver. He enjoyed playing Call of Duty with his computer friends. Gene was also a dedicated member of First Baptist Church, and he loved his church family.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, father-in-law Darrell Dillon, and brother-in-law Randy Copeland.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 41 years, Valerie Dillon Jaggars; his three sons, William Jaggars and wife Marcia, Bobby Jaggars and wife Erica all of Texarkana and Stephen Jaggars and wife Megan of Hope; his daughter, Grace Hawthorne and husband Roger of Texarkana; his brother, Joe Jaggars of Magnolia; his sister, Dee Copeland of Magnolia; thirteen grandchildren, Joey, Corbin, Levi, Justin, Jason, Roman, Jordan, Judy, Brooklynn, Lylah, Ayden, Noah, and Elijah; six great grandchildren, Dori, Willow, Ashlynne, Eli, Savannah, and Addie; mother-in-law, Mary Dillon of Hope; two brothers-in-law Darrell Dillon and John Dillon.
Visitation will be held from 4:00pm to 8:00pm on Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at the Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00pm Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at the First Baptist Church with Bro. Daniel Bramlett officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, under the direction of Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home of Hope.
Death can come for ya any place,
