Kenneth Harvel announces for Hempstead County Judge

To my Community, Family and friends I consider to be Family,

It is my honor to announce my candidacy for Hempstead County Judge.
As a lifelong resident of Spring Hill, I have strong roots in this area as well as the surrounding communities in Hempstead County. My wife and I, along with our sons and grandsons, are active in our community and are supportive fans of the Spring Hill Bears.

As the Street Superintendent for the City of Hope for the past 22 years I have collaborated with area agencies, contractors and inspectors on paving projects, drainage issues and vegetation maintenance as well as ditching. I have coordinated the cleanup efforts after each storm and assisted other Departments within the City on special projects.

I have formulated a budget each year and have been tasked with adjusting that budget as the need arises by prioritizing pressing projects and working within the budget to accomplish as many of those projects as possible.

Through recruitment, coupled with a focus on employee retention, it has been my privilege to supervise eight qualified employees and act as the team leader for the past 22 years.

When asked what I would bring to the table as Hempstead County Judge, I say simply the ability to problem solve, a career of fiscal responsibility, and 22 years of boots on the ground experience.

These things combined with the heart to improve Hempstead County have led me to humbly ask for your support as I strive to serve each community throughout this area that I call home.
