Felony absconder warrant arrest made near Spring Hill

SPRING HILL – On the 18th of August 2025 at 1:30 pm, Hempstead County Deputies Agents with the Probation and Parole Fugitive Task Force, went to 31 Bream Street in reference to a felony warrant.

Upon arrival Agents walked to the backyard of the residence and located Edward Hurt and placed Hurt into custody due to him having a felony absconder warrant. Agents then walked around the back of the house to a trailer that Edward was staying in and preformed a parole search. Upon search of trailer agents allegedly located a glass pipe used to inhale methamphetamine. and allegedly located a yellow piece of bag tied up on the wall. Inside the bag was allegedly suspected methamphetamine.

Edward Hurt allegedly told agents that the pipe and baggie belonged to him. Hurt was transported to the Hempstead County Jail.
