Andrew Hickman, Jr.

Andrew began his journey of life April 30, 1932, in Columbus, Arkansas, the son of Andrew Hickman, Sr. and Lillie Hickman Morehead. He accepted Christ at an early age at Macedonia Baptist Church in Columbus, Arkansas. Later he united with Shady Grove AME Church in Emmet, Arkansas.

Andrew was self-employed as the owner and operator of Hickman Trucking.

On February 18, 1956, he was joined in holy matrimony with Betty Jean Muldrew. To this union six children were born.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his grandson, Christopher “Rudy” White; great-grandson, Jeremy Smith; ten siblings, Robert, Leonard, William, Willie, Lee A., Flossie, Cliver Lee, Jean, Thelma and Wanda.

He leaves to cherish his memories his six children, Cynthia (Charles) Smith, DeLois (Derek) Muldrew, Gloria (Kyle) Hudson, Helen (Jackie) Dunn, Kyla (Wilbert) Walker, Michael (Tamara) Hickman; 24 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren; one sister, Hercules California; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
