Lewisville Mayor Ethan Dunbar announces for U.S. Senate

LEWISVILLE – Lewisville Mayor Ethan Dunbar, a Democrat, has filed paperwork with the Federal Election Commission to run for U.S. Sen. Tom Cotton’s seat, hoping to challenge the Republican incumbent in next year’s general election contest. Dunbar has served as mayor of Lewisville since January 2019, and is a member of the Hope Lions Club.
“Hello, I’m Ethan Dunbar and I am a man of God, family, and service. I am a two-term mayor from Lewisville, Arkansas and I’m a retired Command Sergeant Major who served 33 years 10 months and 26 days (who’s counting?) in service in the U.S. Army.”
“I am running for the U.S. Senate to bring your voice with me to the Senate, and I promise to you that I will conduct my leadership with integrity and to always be true to my roots in the state that I love. I am listening to as many voters as I am able to do in person and in as many other ways as I can, so that I can get done what you want done. I respect your community first and I have no respect for the system that has abandoned us all.”
