Brother Harold Dean Sanders

Brother Harold Dean Sanders was born on August 24, 1947, in Waldo, Arkansas, to the late Ollie and Marie Sanders. As the second of ten children, Harold grew up in a loving and close-knit family. He was preceded in death by his infant son, Shawn Sanders, along with three siblings: Faye Tolbert, Genora Sanders, and Henderson Sanders.

Harold’s journey of faith began early at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Willisville, Arkansas. He later became a devoted member of Harrison Chapel Baptist Church in Waterloo, Arkansas, where he served faithfully on the Usher Board for many years until his health declined.

Affectionately known as “Paw Paw,” Harold brought joy to those around him with his passion for wrestling, eagerly watching every match he could. His enthusiasm for antique cars led him to collect and cherish them. Professionally, Harold dedicated 42 years of service as a forklift driver at Potlatch in Prescott, Arkansas, before retiring.

He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Bertha; his four children—Michael Muldrow, Vincent (Lekiesa) Muldrow, Tomeka (Andrea) Williams, and Ebonique Clayton; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; five brothers—Donnie Sr. (Cathy), Raymond Sr. (Teresa), Herschel (Jackie), Carold, and Ronald (Brenda); and one sister, Anita Scott. Harold’s extended family also includes his special mother-in-law, Christine Hollins; sisters-in-law Vertis Sanders and Allawayne Sanders; and a large circle of nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.

Celebration of Life services will be held Sunday, September 7th, 2025, at R.L. Reed Funeral Home Chapel in Magnolia, Arkansas at 1:00 p.m., with burial to follow at Harrison Chapel Cemetery in Willisville, Arkansas, under the direction of R.L. Reed Funeral Home, LLC. Minister Bobbye Box, Eulogist.
