Hope School Board meets

HOPE – The Hope School Board met at the Garland (Previously HAPS) Building on Tuesday. The minutes and expenditures were submitted for approval. Along with the Superintendent’s Awards, there was a presentation about Bridging the Gap. This is focused on the prevention of drug and alcohol abuse.
Academic updates were another topic. There was room for public comments. T-Mobile grant application was another topic along with the second COPS grant. T-Mobile provides grants for small towns across the U.S.
Fundraising for the scoreboard and clock were also discussed. The acquisition of two acres by the district from the city was another topic.
There was a UAHT foundation update. Quotes for the cabling project for Yerger Middle School were reviewed as were those for furniture for the Technology Department. Curriculum materials were submitted to the Board for approval. A couple of notices of termination and the personnel packet were the last orders of business.
