Brenda Carol Rothwell – Updated

Brenda Carol Rothwell 83 of Hope AR passed away on Friday September 26, 2025, peacefully at home surrounded by her husband, family, and special friend
She was born on November 21st, 1941, to Kenny and Jenny Sue McKee (Moore) in Hope Arkansas. Brenda graduated from Stephen F Austin High School in Houston TX in 1959.
Brenda was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She was the assistant to the Hempstead County Judges office for 10 years and also worked as a host at the Clinton Birthplace National Historic site for a number of years.
Brenda married Jerry Rothwell in October 1990, and they shared 34 years together. She was an avid fan of the Arkansas Razorback football team and traveled to games in Fayetteville and Little Rock accompanied by her husband, grandson, and other friends for many years. She never met a stranger and always enjoyed her lunch dates and outings with the girls.
Brenda is survived by her husband Jerry Rothwell, children Gregg Rothwell and wife Cathy, Jeannea Rothwell Hendrickson, grandchildren Caleb Kirkpatrick and wife Linsey, Tyler Rothwell, Reed Rothwell, Blake Hendrickson, Trent Boise, and EJ Boise, sister Marilyn Degman and husband Jim, and her best friend Elaine Johnson.
Brenda is preceded by parents Kenny and Jenny Sue McKee, son Eddie Boise, son Jeffery Boise.
The family would like to thank Dr. George Garrett and caretakers Amy Rieck and Amy Hudman for the compassionate care and support they had for Brenda.
Visitation will be Monday September 29th 12pm-1:30 at Brazzel Funeral home with a graveside service to follow at 2pm located at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Hope AR with Bro. Tom Mullins officiating under the direction of Brazzel-Oakcrest Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to either the First United Methodist Church in Hope AR, or the American Cancer Society.
