James Ronald Friday

James Ronald Friday, age 81, of Magnolia, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at home on October 2, 2025.

James was born, September 15, 1944, in Prescott, AR. He was a proud United States Air Force Veteran who served our country during the Vietnam era as an aircraft mechanic. He enjoyed being outdoors, spending time with his family and working on his 1984 Ford F100. He was a longtime member of Garrett Memorial Church in Hope, AR.

James was a loving husband to Debra E. Friday (Debbie), always showing her how much he cared for her with his complimentary, protective, and providing nature on display every day. He was a great dad, always showing his love by teaching his children to live for God, to be productive citizens in a tough world, and to have respect for themselves and others.

He was preceded in death by his parents, W. Reaves and Mildred Friday, his brother Norman, and his son Brian. He is survived by his beautiful wife of 43 years, Debbie; his children Christina Friday-Beard and her husband Ben Beard of Jacksonville, FL; Robyn Friday of Little Rock, AR; Nicole McVey of Haughton, LA; and Keenan Friday of Magnolia, AR; along with six grandchildren, Austin Drummonds-Pouncey, Eryka and Scott Inger, Stella and Penn Spradlin, and Ian McVey; three great-grandchildren and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 6, at 11:30AM at Lewis Funeral Home in Magnolia, AR, followed by the funeral service at 2:00PM. Burial with Military Honors will take place at Mount Moriah Cemetery, four miles south of Laneburg, AR, on Highway 371.
