Fulton Town Council meets

FULTON – The Fulton Town Council met on Monday. The meeting began with prayer led by James Lamb. There was a roll call and a reading of last meeting’s minutes. There was a passed motion to accept the minutes.
The mayor stated he met with Jay Click, from the Arkansas Economic Development Commission about fixing the water/sewer system. One of the council members asked for more details, to which the mayor gave details about the ponds that the sewer flows into. The ponds are north of Fulton.
The financial report was presented. There were a few questions, but they were answered. There was a passed motion to accept the financial statement. John Pettit gave the fire department report. He made mention that the tanker is broken and will be fixed. There was some heated discussion about the job that was done about the leak in front of the church. The plumbing company that was hired allegedly did not complete the job but billed the city. There was also some heated discussion about a couple of broken fire hydrants. There was also discussion about the water lines.
There will be a Christmas dinner on December 13th at the fire station. Donations are requested. The fire chief offered to cook a turkey. It will be 5pm-8pm.
