Nevada County Quorum Court

The Nevada County Quorum Court met on Tuesday (10-14).  After the prayer and the pledge of allegiance, the last meeting’s minutes were approved.

The financial statement was discussed.  There was a motion passed to appropriate some money from FEMA into the general fund.  Valorie Cobb of the Prescott/Nevada County Chamber of Commerce was on hand to report on the recent Fall Festival which was well-attended.
Jamie Simmons from the Depot Museum gave a presentation on revenue. Simmons also emphasized the point of having an information center.
It was mentioned that the county’s insurance would be going up.  An passed ordinance was approved which would require construction workers to come to the courthouse and let the county know when they are in the county to work.  The meeting then adjourned.
