Mr. Otis F. Henson

Mr. Otis F. Henson, age 80, of Nashville, Arkansas, passed away on October 8, 2025.

He was born on January 10, 1945, in Little Rock, Arkansas, to the late Arvee and Nancy Henson.

Otis was baptized at Second Baptist Church at a young age and later joined Bullock Temple, where he joyfully served in the choir alongside his siblings. He attended St. Bartholomew Catholic School, Dunbar Junior, and Horace Mann Senior High and later completed barber school, graduating as a licensed barber.

Otis proudly served his country in the United States Navy, where he developed lifelong friendships and a deep sense of duty and discipline that carried through every part of his life.

From a young age, Otis developed a love for horses while visiting his grandmother, Allie Tucker in Nashville, AR. That passion stayed with him throughout his life—his love for horses reflected his strength, freedom, and steady spirit.

Otis was known for his vibrant personality, quick wit, and for always saying something that could make everyone around him laugh. He lived life to the fullest every single day and left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Henson of Nashville, Arkansas; his sister, Faye Henson Parker of Little Rock, Arkansas; and his children: Tonya Marks of Nashville, Arkansas; Tandra Pondexter of Texarkana, Texas; TaShunda Henson of Arlington, Texas; Marta Henson of San Diego, California; Andre Henson (Tania) of Rowlett, Texas; and Raphael Henson of Seattle, Washington.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arvee and Nancy Henson, and his brother, Arvee Henson Jr.
