State Police investigate Camden homicide

CAMDEN — The Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division (CID) has initiated a homicide investigation at the request of the Camden Police Department (CPD) following a fatal shooting that occurred the evening of Sunday, October 19, 2025.

At approximately 5:45 p.m., CPD officers responded to a shooting call at an apartment in the 100 block of Fort Landing Manner in Camden. Upon arrival, officers entered the apartment and located a woman suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim has been identified as Kimaria Wilson, 22, of Camden.
Despite life-saving efforts, Wilson was pronounced dead at approximately 8:30 p.m. by the Ouachita County Coroner.

Wilson’s body will be transported to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory, where the manner and cause of death will be determined.
