Albert Charles Dismuke

Albert Charles Dismuke was born on November 30, 1952, in Hope, Arkansas to Lou Nell Simpson Dismuke and A.B. Nelson.

Charles graduated from Hope High School with the Class of 1970. After high school, he proudly served his country in the United States Army. Following his honorable discharge, he returned to his hometown of Hope, Arkansas.

He later obtained his CDL and began a long and dedicated career as a low boy driver for the Hope Highway Department, where he gave 30 years of excellent service.

Charles had a love for fixing and building anything he could get his hands on. He was a simple, honest man who found joy in the little things. To know him was to love him for exactly who he was.

Charles was preceded in death by his loving mother, Lou Nell Simpson Dismuke.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his daughter, Kamitia Dismuke-Watson of Mansfield, Texas; his son, Carlos (Adrianne) Dismuke of Lewisville, Texas; his bonus daughter, LaToya George of Grand Prairie, Texas; his father, A.B. Nelson of Hope, Arkansas; two brothers, Henry (Erlinda) Dismuke and Jimmy (Jan) Dismuke; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Charles’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Graveside services will be 11am Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Cave Hill #2 Cemetery, Hope, Arkansas. Arrangements entrusted to Hicks Funeral Home, Inc.
