Private Pesticide Applicator Training Class schedule announced for Hope and Prescott

HOPE/PRESCOTT – There will be private applicator training classes every month from December to May alternating between Prescott (taught by Nevada County agent Stacey Stone) and Hope (taught by Hempstead County agent Kim Rowe).

The schedule is as follows:
December 8 at 6 p.m. in Prescott
January 9 at 10 a.m. in Hope
February 19 at 10 a.m. in Prescott
March 16 at 6 p.m. in Hope
April 7 at 2 p.m. in Prescott
May 21 at 6 p.m. in Hope

All classes will be at the county’s respective Extension office. The Nevada County Extension office is located at 877 E. Main Street in Prescott. The Hempstead County Extension office is located at 1800 E. 3rd Street in Hope.

Call to get on the list to be notified in case a class gets rescheduled. For Prescott classes: (870) 887-2818 and for Hope classes: (870) 777-5771. The cost of the training is $20 paid at the time of the class. Licensing fees are paid separately to the Dept. of Ag Pesticide Section. A private applicator license is required to purchase restricted use pesticides for personal farm use. A license is not required to purchase products for home gardens and lawns.
