Mrs. Christine Bailey

Mrs. Christine Bailey, 92, of Rosston, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at her residence in Rosston, Arkansas, on Friday evening October 31, 2025, surrounded by her family members. Mrs. Bailey was a loving mother to her five children. She had lived her entire live serving them at home as a housewife to her husband who preceded her in death, her children, and grandchildren. Most importantly, she was an active member of Harrison Chapel Missionary Baptist Church until her health started to fail, and she was no longer able to attend.
She was born to the late Mr. Odell Martin and the late Mrs. Allie Cooks- Martin, on December 27, 1932, in Stephens, Arkansas, as one of nine children. She attended Nevada County Training School, where she graduated from somewhere around 1950.
She was preceded in death by both parents, her husband, Mr. Samuel Bailey, her siblings, Odessa Jenkins, Jewel Martin, Claude Martin, L.J. Martin, Grady, Martin, and Earlie Martin, as well as a grandchild, Shannon Buchanan.
She is survived by her children, Ms. Brenda Coleman, Ms. Elsie Roach, Mr. Jerry (Linda) Bailey and Ms. Sherry Bailey, All of Rosston, Arkansas and Ms. Linda Buchanan of Texarkana, Texas. One sister, Ms. Imogene Jackson of Texarkana, Texas. One brother, Mr. Randolph (Betty) Martin, of Forney, Texas. Four grandchildren, Carol (Steve) Mauldin, Andre (Roxanne) Coleman, Desmond Bailey, and Felicia Pearson. Seven great grandchildren, Taye Pearson, Diamond Pearson, Simone Pearson, Keyonte Coleman, Kadarious Coleman, Kavion Coleman and Gavin Buchanan. One great-great grandchild, Kinsley Danielle Coleman. A very special friend, Ms. Brenda Faye Parris, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Her service will be held at Harrison Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 1019 Arkansas 76, Rosston, Arkansas, 71858, where Pastor David Roy will serve as the Officiant and Eulogist on Friday November 7, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. There will be a public visitation on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at Hamilton-Davis Funeral Home Chapel, 415 East First Street, Stamps, Arkansas 71860, from 11:00 A.M. until 3:30 P.M. Interment will be immediately following her service on Saturday at Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Nevada Road 173, Rosston, Arkansas, 71858.
