Emmet City Council

The Emmet City Council met on Thurs (11-20). There wasn’t a quorum and no official action could be taken. Instead, the council heard comments from those attending.
Deanna Allen spoke to the council members present concerning a question from Nadine Dylon Bryant of Emmet about some money that was paid to the city. The citizen asked to be refunded $300 for the city services that she had paid. The city pays for the water and sewer service to be run up to the property. She said she had been told the main line to the purchased property would have to be paid for by the citizen. Bryant allegedly claims said she submitted a property map to the city. Roselind McBride, along with Mayor Dale Booker, said they had never seen the site map. Bryant was quoted as saying she was certain that she had given McBride the property map. Grant Cox suggested sitting down with the Mayor and the Water Department and discuss the issue. Bryant said she would be happy to do that.
