ARKADELPHIA – Formal charges were filed Tuesday against a Texarkana, TX man accused of having burglarized the Gurdon Dollar General Store in August.
According to an affidavit filed by Clark County Sheriff’s Investigator Rick Loy, 26-year-old Xavier Marcel Aldridge is charged with Commercial Burglary, Theft and Criminal Mischief, all felonies, in the August 18 burglary at the Gurdon store. He was one of three suspects in the case as well as in burglaries at DG stores in Hope, Mineral Springs, Prescott and Texarkana.
During one of the Texarkana burglaries, police were able to obtain a license plate number for the suspect and using GPS, were able to monitor the car over the next few days and were able to place it another DG burglary in Texas. A traffic stop resulted in the detainment of Aldridge and another suspect, Jucquian Tyson, for whom no charges have yet been listed.
