Sharon Blalock

Sharon Blalock, 64, of Prescott, passed away, December 3, 2025. She was born on October 28, 1962, to Lorenzo and Georgie Blalock.

Throughout her life, Sharon worked faithfully at various jobs, always bringing her warm spirit and strong work ethic to everything she did. She had a deep love for music—especially singing and listening to the blues—which brought joy to her and those around her.

Sharon resided at The Blossoms Rehab & Nursing Center in Prescott, Arkansas, where she was lovingly cared for. She formed close bonds with many there, and she will be deeply missed by the staff and her friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Lorenzo Blalock; her grandmother, Galvester Butler; her sister, Helen Jackson; her aunts, Martha Butler, Maxine Taylor, and Mary Moten; and her uncle, Ralph Butler.

Sharon leaves to cherish her memory her devoted mother, Georgie Blalock of Prescott, AR; her siblings, Lorenza Blalock Jr. (Vivian) of Blevins, AR, Donna Beasley (Julian G. Beasley) of Prescott, AR, Isaiah Blalock of Prescott, AR, and April Blalock of Texarkana, AR. She is also survived by her four children: Joyce Blalock-Thomas of Texarkana, TX; Victoria Bearden of Nashville, AR; Donnie Bearden Jr. of Mineral Springs, AR; and Monique Bearden of Little Rock, AR. Sharon’s legacy continues through her seven grandchildren: Ja’Coree Walker (Mount Vernon, TX), Kenya Polite (Texarkana, TX), Destiny Bearden (AL), Khaliyah Bearden, Darrien McFadden (Mineral Springs, AR), Anaya Bearden (Little Rock, AR), and Ja’Ryiah Garfield (Ashdown, AR). She is further survived by a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, and friends, all of whom will hold her memory close to their hearts.
