City of Fulton Christmas Party
The city of Fulton held a Christmas Dinner on Friday (12-13). There was a prayer led by James Lamb. While those in attendance ate, they listened to Christmas music. James Lamb introduced Mayor Hale. Mayor Hale recounted the highlights of 2025 for the city. Mayor Hale let the city know about new water meters that were installed in Fulton. There is a $3.5 million grant to replace the old water lines. There is $35,000 for drainage. There is also another grant to improve the sewer system.
The mayor made note of two people, those being Wanda Koontz and James Lamb. John Pettit said the Fire Dept was sent out to 73 calls this year.
Francis Hendrix, the secretary for the city of Fulton, had the candidates come forward to speak. Kolby Harper, who is running for Circuit Judge, was present and gave an introduction of herself. She encouraged people to vote. County Judge Jerry Crane was present and spoke, presenting his history before becoming a Judge. He asked people to vote for him. Jesus Cornado was also present. He is running for sheriff. He stated that his focus will be on protecting kids.
Mayor Hale returned to the stage to share his thoughts about Fulton. He wants to build Fulton up. He stated that he didn’t want it to die. He said he hoped those in attendance had a good Christmas. The Christmas music resumed as people finished their meal and gathered food up to leave.
