Christmas Decorations Around Hope

We have to admit, we love the great decorations around Hope at Christmas.  Here are a few of the many memorable displays…

One of our favorite displays is in the Walker family’s yard on Lester Drive.  That’s one of our first destinations when Christmas lights go up.  We especially love their display promoting “Hope for Paws”.

When we head to Magnolia for our radio job early in the morning, we’re struck by one particular house on Highway 53 in Nevada County between Bodcaw and Falcon.  It’s always a blessing!

There’s always at least one really good display in the Strong addition in Hope…

Over near Yerger Jr. High, we always check out the display at 9th and Laurel…

Finally, the folks on 6th Street about 2 blocks east of Main do a great job.  Their display is so extensive this year we couldn’t get it all in the photo.

One of our favorite Christmas displays is the nativity Randy Hare stages in one of his barns on highway 32 at Oakhaven.  A nativity in an actual barn just seems to magnify the humble birth of the man that became the Savior of mankind.

Thanks to all the folks who decorate with lighted displays for Christmas.  We also want to remind everyone to visit Oakhaven north of Hope off state highway 32.  Every yard has lights and the drive is lovely.
