John Richard Carlton “Ricky”

Born April 27, 1967, in Prescott, AR to Orin Wendell Carlton and Shirley Ann Carlton. He was the first of their three boys, followed by James Wendell Carlton “Jimmy” and Morrey Dennis Carlton “Dennis”. Ricky passed on December 6, 2025, at the age of 58, due to heart problems at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock.

He was a seasoned construction worker early in life, then he became a truck driver later, and eventually a maintenance worker.

Ricky was preceded in death by his father, his mother, both sets of grandparents, stepfather, Marshall E Lewis, stepbrothers James Earl Lewis and Roger Lynn Lewis.

He also leaves behind a significant other Lacie Looper, his brothers James Wendell Carlton, Morrey Dennis Carlton, and stepbrother Marshall R Lewis, his daughter Brittany Nicole Sullivan and a granddaughter Amelia Ann, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews on both sides who love him and miss him.

He will be forever loved and missed by us all.

Memorial services will be held on January 31, 2026, at Union Baptist Church in Bodcaw.
