Mrs. Peggy Jean Worthey

Mrs. Peggy Jean Worthey, born on September 10, 1935, in Sutton, Arkansas, passed away on December 28, 2025, at the age of 90.

She was born to Robert and Jean Watson. She loved quilting, watching the History Channel, and being a grandmother to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Peggy is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 55 years, Herman Franklin Worthey; her siblings, Judy Lynn Watson, Bonnie Shapley, Mary Lou Barnhart, Robert Sevier Watson III, and James Troy Watson; her grandsons, Shawn Michael Worthey and Charles Franklin Worthey.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Tim Langlois of De Queen; one son, Herman Michael Worthey of Queen City, Texas; four grandchildren, Wesley Keiton Langlois, Kaleigh Suzanne Langlois, Ashley Dale, and Jacob Worthey; and five great-grandchildren. She will be missed dearly by her family.

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Peggy Worthey will be held, 2:00 P.M., Friday, January 2, 2026, at Holly Grove Cemetery in Blevins, Arkansas with Rev. Stephen Copley officiating, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen, Arkansas.
