Blevins School Board addresses policy updates and district business

BLEVINS – The Blevins School District Board of Education met Monday, January 12, 2026, in the school cafeteria, with the meeting called to order at 6:37 p.m. All board members were present along with the superintendent.
The meeting opened with prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance, followed by a public comment. The board approved the December 2025 meeting minutes and reviewed and approved the district’s financial reports.
During new business, the superintendent presented policy updates from the Arkansas School Boards Association, which were approved unanimously. The board also approved moving forward with football field leveling improvements, with expenditures not to exceed $5,000. Flexible scheduling options for students were discussed.
The board unanimously approved the district’s Master Plan Assurance and received reports on enrollment, campus updates, and student testing. Board members also discussed upcoming professional development focused on school law scheduled for February.
Following the executive session, board also approved a maintenance hire and accepted a maintenance resignation.
Prior to adjournment, the board approved allowing the superintendent flexibility in determining tournament bids. The meeting adjourned at 8:42 PM.
