Arkansas National Guard on Duty in Prescott Returns Dog to Owner

We ran across this story from the Arkansas National Guard site and thought you’d enjoy how our National Guard soldiers helped a dog on a very frigid night…
On the night of 25 January 2026 at approximately 2200 hours, Sgt. Rabadan, Spc. Whitworth, and Spc. Arce, assigned to the 39th Infantry Brigade Combat Team were conducting patrol operations in the city of Prescott, Arkansas. During the patrol, the Soldiers observed a dog walking along the roadway near the dispatcher’s residence. Due to the extremely cold weather conditions, the Soldiers stopped to check on the animal’s welfare.
The dog was friendly and approachable. Upon further investigation, the Soldiers were able to confirm the dog’s home address and safely return it to its residence. After ensuring the animal was secure, the Soldiers resumed their mission and continued to patrol the streets of Arkansas.
