“You’ve Been Hearted” project spreads community love

HOPE – The Hope-Hempstead County Chamber and the Hope Downtown Network are partnering to spread kindness, encouragement, and community love through a special Valentine’s initiative called You’ve Been Hearted.

From Wednesday, February 11 through Friday, February 13, community members are invited to stop by the chamber during designated pick-up hours each day to pick up You’ve Been Hearted cards, along with a small gift, to share with an individual or local business they appreciate.

Daily pick-up hours are:
Wednesday, February 11: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Thursday, February 12: 11:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Friday, February 13: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM

“The You’ve Been Hearted initiative is a simple but meaningful way to spread kindness and gratitude throughout our community,” said Christy Burns, Executive Director of the Hope-Hempstead County Chamber.

“Our businesses and citizens are the heartbeat of Hope, and You’ve Been Hearted gives everyone an opportunity to pause, recognize, and celebrate those who make a difference every day,” stated Beckie Moore, Executive Director of the Hope Downtown Network.

Participants are also encouraged to capture and share the moment. In helping to spread encouragement and community pride throughout Hope and Hempstead County, both the giver and the recipient are invited to take photos, post on social media, and tag the Hope Chamber and Hope Downtown Network using the hashtag #IWasHearted.

There is no cost to participate, so everyone is invited to take part by spreading love throughout Valentine’s week.
