Fat Tuesday/Shrove Tuesday A Great Day to Eat in Hope!

Fat Tuesday or Shrove Tuesday, the day before Lent begins, is a great day to be in Hope. Two local churches had much anticipated meals! Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church held their annual “Mardi Gras” spaghetti meal for lunch and supper. The church usually sells well over 1,000 meals each year. The meal has been a tradition in Hope since 1959.
St. Mark’s Episcopal Church held their annual “Shrove Tuesday” pancake supper Tuesday. The church serves up pancakes and all the trimmings for a world class breakfast each year.
Whichever one you went to (and some of us go to both!), you were assured of a great meal from two of Hope’s oldest congregations!
