Sheriff Danny Martin and his family escaped injury overnight when their house caught fire and burned. The home was located at 601 Highway 372 East in the Laneburg community. The fire apparently started in the attic. Two adults and two children were home when the fire broke out. There were no injuries, but the home appears to be a total loss. Our prayers are with the Martin family after this tragedy. A special fund has been set up at Farmers Bank & Trust to benefit the Martin family. The account # is 25012790.
