
Mrs. Charolette Charles Watts was born June 29, 1965, to the late Lindsey Earl Charles and the late Bonnie Sue Mixon. “Holla Mae” as she was known to all, entered her eternal rest on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at Christus Saint Michael Hospital in Texarkana, TX.
Charolette was a member of the Rosston Road Church of Christ. Charolette began her teaching career at Oak Grove Headstart and continued at FACT Inc. until she retired. Charolette dedicated her life to serving students. Throughout her 30+ year teaching career, she has shaped and molded the lives of hundreds of students and helped them to understand the importance of education.
When she wasn’t working, she enjoyed spending time with her two grandsons, watching them perform on the football field and basketball court. She also enjoyed spending time with her two daughters and trips with her siblings.
She is preceded in death by her parents the late Lindsey Earl Charles and the late Bonnie Sue Mixon; three siblings, Michael Linzie Charles, Carlen Charles, and Gregory Charles.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her loving husband, Donell, of 40 years, two daughters Channing (Sam) George, and DaMonica (James) Williams; two grandchildren Samari and Cayson George; nine siblings Claudette (Forrest) Jefferson, Claudell (Tanya) Mixon, Chris (Cynthia) Blake, Corey (Amanda) Smith, Courtney Mixon, Carlesha Larry, Melissa Charles Flowers, Tracy Charles, and Shameka Charles; two special friends Ruby Beasley and Sharon Henry, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Celebration of Life services will be held Saturday, May 16th, 2026, at Nevada School Gym in Rosston, Arkansas at 11:00 a.m., with burial to follow at Harrison Chapel Cemetery in Rosston, under the direction of R.L. Reed Funeral Home, LLC. Bro. Jeffers Jefferson, Eulogist.
