Hope Housing Authority plans to consider revisions to their Personnel Policy and Bylaws

HOPE – Hope Housing Authority (HACOH) Board of Commissioners met at 720 Texas Street in Hope at 12 noon on May 21st.

Present were S. Bradford, R. Moore, A. Espinoza and Kim Hollis. C. Jefferson was absent. Also present were D. Gates, L. Bland, J. Fouglas , T. Beeler, A. Hammond and J. Wilson.

As there was a quorum the following business was conducted:

The agenda was approved unanimously as were the minutes from the March 19th meeting.

The retroactive annual and 5-year plans were approved unanimously.

So were the income limits and lawn contract.

Executive Director David Gates presented the 2025 audit letter which identified two findings from the prior administration and also outlined the corrective actions currently being implemented.

Gates provided the Board with a copy of current Personnel Policy as well as a proposed revised one to be considered at the next meeting. The revision includes the addition of maternity leave.

Bylaws were also presented along with a proposed revision.

Chairman Bradford requested the agency ensure all security cameras across the property are functioning properly.
