PRESCOTT — The Prescott/Nevada County Library is thrilled to invite the local community to its 2026 Summer Reading Program, featuring a dynamic lineup of free, interactive live performances. Designed to prevent the “summer slide” and keep local youth engaged with literature, this year’s theme, “Unearth A Story” focuses on adventure, learning, and active participation.
All featured events are free of charge and open to the public.
The official 2026 summer event schedule includes:
• Monday, July 13 @ 2:00 PM – Slam Crew Interactive Basketball Show: A fast-paced athletic performance showcasing high-flying stunts, basketball tricks, and heavy audience engagement. (First Baptist Church Family Life Center, 201 E Main St., Prescott, AR) No limits.
• Friday, July 17 @ 6:30 PM – Big Poppa Bubbles Foam Party: A high-energy outdoor party featuring mountains of giant foam bubbles. This event has no age restrictions; all family members are welcome to participate. (Prescott Nevada County Library, 121 W. Main St., Prescott, AR) No limits.
• Wednesday, July 22 @ 11:00 AM – Library Excavates Fun with Hands-On “Dino Dig”: Participants will engage in a variety of sensory and experiential activities. • Friday, July 24 @ 10:00 AM – Summer Dino Show: The program’s grand finale, featuring prehistoric history brought to life with realistic, life-sized dinosaur entertainment. (First Baptist Church Family Life Center, 201 E Main St., Prescott, AR) No limits.
• Tuesday, July 28 @ 10:00 AM Finale – Dino Magic Show & Fossil Showcase: Join us for an unforgettable, high-energy morning packed with prehistoric illusions, laughs, and real history. (Prescott Nevada County Library, 121 W. Main St., Prescott, AR) No limits.
