HOPE – The University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana has been named one of the 250 best trade schools in the United States in USA TODAY’s 2026 ranking of America’s Best Trade Schools.
UAHT was one of only six schools in Arkansas selected for the national list, highlighting the university’s commitment to providing affordable, hands-on education that prepares students for successful careers in high-demand fields.

UAHT offers career and technical education programs designed to prepare students for direct entry into the workforce or continued professional advancement. Programs include welding, diesel technology, electromechanical technology, industrial maintenance, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, construction technology, and more.
Many UAHT programs can be completed in a year or less, giving students an affordable and efficient path to industry credentials and employment. The college also operates Secondary Career and Technical Education Centers in Hope and Texarkana, where participating high school juniors and seniors can receive hands-on training, earn college credit, and complete certain certificates at no cost.
USA TODAY’s America’s Best Trade Schools 2026 list recognizes institutions across the country that provide strong vocational and career-focused educational opportunities. UAHT’s inclusion among the nation’s top 250 underscores the college’s role in connecting education with regional workforce needs.
