It is with heavy hearts and profound respect that we announce the passing of Rebecca L. Danner Santiago, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Rebecca, known affectionately as Becky, peacefully left this world at her home July 29, 2026, surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 74 years old.
Born on April 6, 1952, in Prescott, Arkansas, to Calvin and Laverne Ricketts Danner, Becky was a beacon of strength and love throughout her life. Her parents and her dear brother, Calvin “Butch” Danner III, predeceased her, leaving a legacy of resilience that Becky embodied in every aspect of her life.
Becky graduated a year early from Brewer Senior High School in 1969, showcasing her determination and zest for life from a young age. She pursued a career in cosmetology, where she worked for over a decade, bringing beauty and joy to those around her. Later, she shifted her career path to become a Certified Nurse’s Aide, dedicating herself to the care and well-being of others.
On May 5, 1978, she married the love of her life, Victor Santiago, in White Settlement, Texas. Together they built a beautiful life, celebrating 48 years of marriage based on love, respect, and mutual admiration. Becky leaves behind a devoted family who will carry her memory in their hearts forever: her husband Victor; her children, Jimmy Ballard and wife Shauna, Victor Santiago Jr. and wife Solina, Michelle Santiago Crigger, Tanya Santiago and partner Drema Mitchem, and Victoria Santiago Lilly and husband Wyatt; her cherished grandchildren, Kaelynn Adcock, Joshua Santiago, Dionne McKinney, Kris Parker, Virginia Hopper, Zachary Green, and Sarah Stamper; and eight precious great-grandchildren.
A woman of many passions, Becky was an avid reader, consuming several books a week, and she delighted in sharing stories from her vivid memory. She was an exceptional storyteller, whose tales of life were filled with wisdom and humor. Becky enjoyed playing cards and dominos, often sharing laughter and camaraderie with friends and family around her table.
Her hospitality knew no bounds; she welcomed everyone with open arms and found great joy in the company of her loved ones. Becky was also a dedicated member of the White Settlement Eastern Star Organization for over 55 years, where she achieved the highest honor of Worthy Matron, exemplifying her commitment to community and service.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 7, 2026, at DeAnn Cemetery under the direction of Brazzel-Cornish Funeral Home, The Funeral Home of Prescott, Ben Brazzel, Director.
