Billy Hunt, age 79 of Hope, Arkansas, passed away at his home on August 8, 2026.
He was born November 16, 1946, to Clarence and Ruby Faye (Springs) Hunt. He was a member of Southside Missionary Baptist Church, in Hope and retired manager from Caney Creek Farms. He was known for his wisdom, strength, determination, hunting skills and unwavering love for his family.
He was preceded in death by his father Clarence, mother Ruby, one sister, Margie Faye Pizzamenti and one brother, Eugene Hunt.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Diane Hunt; his son, James (Sonia) Hunt, granddaughters Jessica Ridgel and Jenna Jacobs, great grandchildren Autumn Ridgell, Garrett Sherer and Brody Jacobs.
One daughter Janet (Jeff) Hamm, grandsons Codi, Conner, Damion, and Vassili, great grandchildren Madalyn, Eli, Wyatt, Andrew, Lukas, Liam Nand Kaylin.
One stepson Michael (Desiree) Henson, grandchildren India, Chloe, Matthew and Dru, great grandchildren Lauren, Maya, Jeremiah, Malayasia, Malachi and Shanice.
While his passing leaves a tremendous void in our hearts, we find comfort in God, family, church, friends and the many cherished memories we have. Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate Billy’s life, honor his memory and share in remembrance of a man who was deeply loved and will be forever missed.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 10, 2026, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home Chapel- Hope.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home Chapel- Hope.
Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery.
