Dena A Green Hampton was born May 17, 1947, in Mona Vista, CO to Carruth and Dorothy Green. When she was still a baby they moved to Dierks, AR where she grew up.
Dena worked in Hope Public Schools for 42 years as a teacher aid and loved what she did. She retired in 2016.
Dena was preceded in death by her parents her husband Dwight Hampton three brothers-in-law and two great grandchildren, Reign Maverick Cole and Baby Blueberry.
Dena leaves to cherish her memories are her two sons Kevin (Debbie) Hampton of Hope, AR, Darin (Sharon) Hampton of Lewisville, AR, and one daughter Kimberly (Tony) Cole of Hope, AR.; eight grandchildren Matt Huskey of Hot Springs, AR, Kaylee (Dusty) Townsend of Hope, AR, Hannah (Hunter) Halliday of Hope, AR, Cody (Jolene) Hampton of Heber Springs, AR, Darrell Hampton of Hope, AR, Emily(Josh) Ward of Hope, AR, Dustin (Hailey) Hall of Dekalb, TX, and Brandon (Lydia) Cole of Hope, AR; Seventeen great grandchildren Jarrett, Jackson, Jase, Tripp, Waylon, Easton, Havyn, Rylee, Brooklyn, Cody Kyle, Bentley, Stetson, Cara, Kaylee, Jackson, Kylin, and Tatum; two brothers Rodney and Robin; three sisters Rita, Pam and Lori; numerous nieces and nephews.
The family wants to Thank Hope Haven for the last five years of taking such good care of our mom.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, 6:00pm to 8:00pm in the Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home Chapel.
Graveside services are scheduled for Wednesday, August 19, 2026, 10:00am at Memory Gardens Cemetery with Bro. Byron Mann and Bro. Jim Henderson officiating, under the direction of Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home of Hope.
