Cathy Sue McKamie, 59 of Hope, AR, passed away August 14, 2026, in Oklahoma City, OK. She was born on December 13, 1966, to Wayne and Maxine Cornelius. She was a member of Calvary Church in Norman and retired from WEOKIE Federal Credit Union.
She is preceded in death by her father Wayne Cornelius and one granddaughter Katelyn McKamie.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Matthew McKamie; daughter Courtney Boren (Charlie); son Jeremy McKamie (Brandy); mother, Maxine Hicks (Jim); brother Rusty Cornelius (Kelly); Grandchildren: Kyle, Ben and Ethan McKamie, Hayden Donnell and Kacee Boren. Several nieces and nephews, cousins and numerous more family and friends.
Cathy loved the Arkansas Razorbacks “Go Hogs.” She enjoyed traveling the world with the love of her life and making memories with her family. She loved meeting new people, and she never met a stranger. She loved creating family traditions with her children and grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday August 21, 2026, at Brazzel-Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope, AR. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Private Family Burial will be under the direction of Brazzel-Oakcrest Funeral Home, The Funeral Home of Hope, Ben Brazzel, Director.
